Who is rufke?
Marko "Rufke" Rufić (born 22 November 2003) is a video game developer and former web developer from Pančevo, Serbia. Their hobbies include digital photography, video games, editing Wikipedia, writing, watching films, visual arts, and collecting physical media, such as books, video games, video game consoles, and vinyls.
Rufke was educated at Elementary School "Isidora Sekulić" (2010–2018) in Pančevo, as well as the Elementary Music School "Jovan Bandur" (2012–2018). They later studied at Electrical Engineering School "Nikola Tesla" (2018–2022) in Pančevo, after which they signed up and studied at the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science School, VIŠER (2022–2026) in Belgrade. They hold the degree of Engineer of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
Between 2019 and 2025, Rufke was a web developer, creating websites and applications. They have ammassed knowledge and experience in various technologies and programming languages, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and Node.js. Their best work includes: B-lock (defunct) and PanGO (faculty project). Since 2026, Rufke has been focusing on video game development, creating five video games as of now, with their largest one being Gravebolt, a bullet heaven game they developed for their thesis. They work in the Unity video game engine and use the C# programming language.
They also have volunteering experience in various organisations and initiatives. Since 2019, they have been an English Wikipedia editor, having well over 50,000 contributions as of now. There, they have extensive experience in professionally writing articles, community organising and management, as well as administrative tasks. In 2026, they became an administrator on the site. Rufke is also an active member of Europe Elects (since 2024) and Wikimedia Serbia (since 2024). They were formerly part of the Association Pansej from 2022 to 2026 and the Emanacija initative from 2023 to 2024.
